Getting ready

This year we are going to burn wood to keep us nice and toasty during the winter. Our neighbours came over with their wood splitter and helped Dado chop it all up. It was REALLY loud but it certainly got the job done.

It won't be long until I'm out there with the guys showing them all how it's done!

Canada Games

The Canada Games came to Charlottetown this year so we all decided to go and check out some of the action. I took in my first ever football (soccer) match with Dado.

The only problem was that I wanted to get in on the action too!

Big Boy Trike!

Gran & Grandpa decided to give me my birthday present a little bit early so I could enjoy it while the weather was still good. I was soo excited when Mummy wheeled this into the kitchen!!

It has this special handle that lets Dado and Mummy push me around with ease. Then when I learn to pedal all by myself the handle comes off. I'm travelling in style!

Thank you Grandpa and Gran for my big boy bike. I'll be racing around the place before you know it!

Builder's bum

Enough said I think.

Line-up

My latest thing is to put all my toys in a row up on the couch. Then I climb up too and play with them. I am certainly pleased with myself, that's for sure.

A Day at Tea Hill Beach

One beautiful summer's day we decided to go for a trip to the beach. I enjoy digging at the beach with my bucket and spade but the water scares me a little, especially the waves. BUT at this beach there were loads of little pools full of water as warm as my bath. It was SOO fun. I 'joyed it A LOT!

Mummy shows me how it's done.

Now it's my turn.

And of course I had to lift it all by myself!

Now time for a little digging. I made the most of being allowed to get REALLY dirty.

Back in the water again. This was just before I nearly tipped the water over my head!

Here I am looking for crabs and watching the teeny fish swimming around.

Fascinating stuff.

And then back to the mud pies!

Here is a picture of Mister Crab. We found him hiding in one of the pools. He didn't seem too keen to meet me but I thought he was great. I talked about him for days after. What an adventure we had at the beach!

Cousin Emily

It was great spending some time with my cousin Emily. I was overtired and grouchy during our visit but she didn't seem to mind too much. She even shared her toys with me.

Emily had a really cool bike. She gave me a turn but stuck close by to offer advice.

She decided a "hands on" approach might be in order! (0:

I think if we lived closer we would be great buddies! We made the most of the time that we had.

We played blocks...

Emily let me have a turn on her rocking horse...

and best of all we played at her sand table! Thank you Emily for sharing your toys with me. I hope we can have another play-date sooner rather than later! (0:

A trip to Brighton

A few days before we flew home to Canada we spent some time in England in a lovely town called Brighton.

We checked out the world famous Brighton Pier...

Enjoyed the lovely view of the sea front...

and best of all got to visit Dado's sister Aunty Caroline, Uncle Simon and Cousin Emily. Cousin Tom didn't arrive until after we left but he is in this picture too if you look closely! (0:

Doing the tourist thing

We did the tourist thing on this trip too taking in the gorgeous scenery along the Causeway Coast. Mummy took a lot of pictures of hills and cliffs and castles and stuff but if you want to see those you'll have to check out her Facebook page. Remember this blog is all about ME! But I guess I could share a couple....

One of our favourite views.

At the Giant's Causeway on the Giant's boot.

Cool Dude

A picture is worth a thousand words.

Shades. Soother. Remote. What more could a boy want.

Family time

I really enjoyed spending time every day with my family. I like seeing them on Skype but nothing beats the real thing.

Here we are in Portrush going for a walk after eating a HUGE scone at The White House. (that's a store for any Americans who might have gotten a little confused!) I actually became a bit of a scone addict on my holiday. Every morning around 10:30 I would start saying SCONE, SCONE, TEA CAKE! No one seemed to mind giving in to that request! (0:

It was lovely to see my Nena again. She gives lovely cuddles and it was fun going to her house for a visit. I got to meet her dog Tina and we liked to run around the garden together.

Food glorious food

A lot of our holiday was spent eating. We started first thing in the morning at breakfast. I loved my "Wheaties", bananas and blueberries. One morning I even got to sit in a chair at the table like a big boy.

It was great chatting with Papi and Dado man to man.

With all the nice weather we had we ate outside quite a few times. Who says all it does is rain in Northern Ireland?

If this picture had a soundtrack you would hear "DOWN PLEASE DADO PLEASE!"

Another day I got a special treat for dessert. It is called chocolate mousse although it is nothing like the moose we have in Canada!

No-one was too keen on me sitting beside them at the table during this meal. I have no idea why!

A Day at the Farm

One afternoon Nonnie took us all to a really fun place - a petting farm. There were plenty of animals to visit, although I didn't stick around in any one spot for long. There was just so much to EXPLORE!!

I did manage to pause (briefly) for a quick chat with some baby sheep.

But more than the animals I LOVED the tractors! In fact tractors are some of my most favourite things! Maybe it's because I live in PEI?

One of my books at home has a peacock in it and Dado will make the noise for me. I got to meet the real thing at this farm and I can tell you that noise is A LOT SCARIER in real life! I jumped out of my skin!

Not only were there animals and tractors but also another really fun ball pit. This one was much deeper but I had a ball! (no pun intended!)

There was even a great big bike thing that we all went on. Dado tried to pretend he was doing this for my sake but I think we all know that was just an excuse. I think he enjoyed himself as much as me!!

Even Mummy joined in the action! (again, just for my sake...)
