Da Boys!!!

Jeremy (from our church in PEI who just got his MA from Moody Grad School), Jason (our Christian School Principle), Steve (senior pastor at Grace Baptist), and Geoff Mohl (from New York and our Youth Conference speaker this week in PEI).

I'm added to the mix! All I can say is that no-one can accuse me of being a big head! :o)

Quite the spot!!!

The main auditorium held about 1,100 pastors for the main sessions. Here I've snatched a shot before a worship time.

This, my friends, is what you might call black-mail material! Pastor Steve and Jason with their hands in the air praising God! Put those hands in the air at Grace, boys! As you can see Jason (aka. Garfield!) has his eyes closed! That boy could sleep for Canada. He just took delivery of a new Mazda 3 the Saturday after he came back! Shame he didn't have his eyes open long enough to see the cop that clocked him at 150 km/h. He got a $110 fine, and only had 97 kms on the clock! Wot a wee shame! :o)

There he is!!!

Aye, yur sum boy! Yup, it's D.L Moody himself! At the Bible Institute there is a wee Moody museum. Has loads of things in it including this life-size statue of the man himself!!! Looks very distinguished, don't you think?

This has got to be one of the most significant things I have ever seen in my Christian life! This letter and scroll of 2,500 signatures are from the men and women of Glasgow and Edinburgh in the middle 1800s. They were requesting that both Moody and his song leader Ira Sankey come over to Scotland to hold some evangelistic crusades. They came to Edinburgh, sang and preached, and many came to faith in Christ. The churches were full already so they had to build a new church to put them in! In 1865 Carrubbers Close Mission (now Carrubbers Christian Centre) was built as a result! This is Jenn's and mine's home church in Scotland, where we both came (back) to faith. It's a very special place to both of us, and in fact was where we both spotted each other at a New Years Eve Banquet and Ceilidh!!! I remember seeing a photo at Carrubbers years ago where Moody himself is 'holding forth' at the laying of the founding stone. I don't think he could quite have seen or realized the number of men and women that have been sent out from that place in full-time service for Christ!

Moody Pastor's Conference 2007, Chicago

Pastor Steve, Jason Biech and I got to leave PEI and fly to the annual Pastor's Conference at Moody Bible Institute last week. It was a great time. Had a laugh, got to see some cool stuff, and learnt a few things into the bargain! :o) Moody is a great spot in a world-class city!

Check out a little more of the snow in the middle of May!!!

'Rolla gets dumped on one more time!!!

As per usual Pip and Squeak are as comfy as ever! Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow! Meow!

Our wee flower bed takes a beating!!!

We have daffies!

We have tulips!

Then they all get pelted with snow ... and what's the month? Oh, just May! Welcome to Canada, eh?

It's our baby!!!

Well... here is the first official picture of the newest addition to our family. We went for our ultrasound 2 weeks ago and picked up this picture on Friday. The baby put on quite the show for us..flipping and turning... waving it's arms and legs...even grabbed it's little foot and sucked it's thumb. We were absolutely mesmerised and it made it seem more real than ever!! (-:
Oh, and Alisha, we will have another bump picture coming your way very soon! For now, here is the inside view
of the bump! (-:
