Well, things didn't stop there! I went out to church for the second time this past Sunday. They had a big party for me downstairs in the gym! All the folks from the church bought me lots of presents! Mummy and Daddy, Noni, Papi, Papa George and Gran Marie were absolutely blown away with how generous everyone was! Mr. John O'Connor used his van to get everything home otherwise we'd have had to have used a U-Haul truck! (I think he has an Irish cousin, Mihaul! Sorry, that's Papi's joke!). Here I am all dressed up, again I slept through it all, but look at all the gifts people gave me!
I went back to church this morning with all my family! Mum and Dad, Noni and Papi, Papa George and Gran Marie. Everybody was looking at me! We sang songs with the word 'baby' in them and even played one of my 'Praise Baby' songs for the offering! Mum and Dad took me up front and Pastor Steve talked about them dedicating me to God. He read about another Samuel in the Bible and what his Mum, Hannah, did with him. What a great story! Daddy says he's going to preach on it some day soon! My very own sermon series! Here are a few snaps from the morning. Thanks, Carla, for your sharp shooting! I even got my pic up on the big screen! Look!
I went for my second outing to North Rustico yesterday! It was a beautiful day and we went for a walk on the boardwalk up there. It was me and Mum and Papa George and Gran Marie. We even visited with Harry and Faith Alexander. They talk like Daddy!
Daddy stayed at home to do some work around the garden. He said he was cutting the lawn. I'm not sure what that means, but he said he would teach me one day. All he said was that I wasn't to ask for a thing called 'Pocket-Money.' I get this feeling that I've been conned......
I might be small, but I can really fill a clothes line! Poo and puke are my specialties! And I feel very free sharing them with whomever is holding me!
The weather has been amazing since I was born! So, Mum and Dad decided it was time to get me dressed up and have my first family outing down to the board walk in Charlottetown. It was lovely to be jiggled and shaken up like a can of pop in my stroller / pram and we went along the wooden slats! One bonus (Mummy says) is that I didn't toss my lunch. She sometimes thinks I have a weak stomach. Weak stomach? I can chuck it as far as any baby my age! :o) As you can see all that fresh air and activity made me fall right to sleep!
Yesterday (Sunday) I got to meet my other set of grandparents from Northern Ireland (or Norn' Ireland, as Daddy would say!). This is my Daddy's daddy and Daddy's mum! I think they like me too, just like Gran Marie and Papa George! See for yourselves! They have very comfortable sets of arms to sleep in! What's a baby to do? SLEEP IN THEM OF COURSE!!! :o)
Dad and I got to hang out for a while after he came back from the Bible Conference at church. We had a great conversation. I tried my best to grunt, gurgle and pass a little gas, while Dad just kept looking at me and saying, 'Ma boy, ma boy!'
My two new friends, Pip and Squeek, are very sleepy, just like me! They eat and sleep all day too! Squeek puts her paw over her face and Pip tucks her paws underneath her! A nice nurse lady (Paula) came around today and told me that I'm now 8lbs in weight, and my head has gotten bigger! Phew! Growing is hard and hungry work!
Finally, Mummy has let Daddy take a few pics of just me and her! I love being in Mum's arms. I feel so safe. Isn't she pretty? As you can see, I fall right to sleep!
Enough of the photos! I'm asleep now! Talk to the hand!
Daddy looks very pleased with himself! It looks like he's been to the butchers, but I don't think I'd want to cook those on the BBQ and then sink my teeth into them! Those are my nappies / diapers! Thank-you, Diaper Genie!
People keep buying me things! Mummy's workmates at Grace Christian School gave me a very studious looking Teddy! And Daddy bought some letters at Michael's for the wall over my cot / crib. Sam! That's me!
I love spending time with Mummy. She's wonderful! She sings to me and talks to me and loves to just look at me! She's so warm that I love to just conk out on her lap!
'Well, it's been a week now since I appeared into this Agnew Family! I quite like them! I get to eat lots of food...with free refills!...and am all snuggly in bed! Daddy put me beside a huge bear that Papa George bought me when I was first born. You'll be able to see how I grow in comparison! Also Gran MacRaild knitted me a lovely little white cardigan with bunny buttons on it! I'm stylin'!
I love music! Here I am with Papa George listening to Fernando Ortega. I love cuddle time! I know, Papa George, look at the mess of that back yard of Daddy's! He'd better get that leaf blower out soon, eh?
What are you lookin' at? Och, Dad, get that thing out of my face! Well, if you must, let me give you my best side! Now, I'm tired and still hungry! So, I'm gonna suck on my arm for a bit!
